Brock Hostetter, Board President
Brock Hostetter has proudly served on the White River Valley Board of School Trustees since January 2015, representing the district as an At-Large member. A graduate of White River Valley High School (Class of 1996), Brock continued his education at the University of Southern Indiana and Ivy Tech, earning degrees in business and computer networking.
Brock has farmed alongside his family at Hostetter Farms since 1999 and brings a strong work ethic and deep community roots to his role on the board. He and his wife, Ericka, are raising their four children—Claire, Max, Libby, and Alice—in Worthington. Brock was recently re-elected and will continue serving the district through 2026.

Joe Decker, Board Vice President
Joe Decker has served on the White River Valley Board of School Trustees since January 2015, representing the Jefferson II district. A 1979 graduate of Worthington-Jefferson High School, Joe continued his education at Vincennes University, earning an associate degree in 1981.
Joe is currently employed by the Indiana Finance Authority and brings a wide range of experience to the board. Over the years, he has worked for Graves Plumbing Company, Worthington Packing Company, and the White River Valley School District in maintenance roles. He also farmed from 1986 to 2009, giving him strong ties to both the school system and the local agricultural community.
Joe and his wife, Cheryl, have two grown children, Stephanie Eaton and Matthew Decker, and they reside in rural Worthington. Recently re-elected, Joe will continue serving the district through 2026. He welcomes communication from the community and can be reached at [email protected]

Andy Davis
Andy Davis has served on the White River Valley Board of School Trustees since 2013, representing District 5, Precinct 1 of Jefferson Township. He brings a strong background in education and finance to his role on the board.
Andy is an independent financial advisor and has previously served as an educator and school administrator, giving him valuable insight into both the classroom and district leadership. He and his wife, Rhoda, have three children—Buddy, Carter, and Christiane—all graduates of White River Valley Schools.

Conner Hill
Conner Hill represents the Switz City area on the White River Valley Board of School Trustees. A 2014 graduate of White River Valley High School, Conner went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from the University of Southern Indiana in 2017. He has also completed industry certifications in Public Management through IUPUI and is working toward a master’s degree in Public Affairs.
Conner is employed at Crane Naval Base as an Administrative/Technical Specialist and brings a strong background in public service to the board. He has remained actively involved in White River Valley Schools, serving as a lay coach for Cross Country, Track, and Girls’ Basketball, as well as leading the WRV Drama Department.

Cleta Shake is currently serving her first term on the White River Valley Board of School Trustees, representing Stafford Township. She works alongside her husband, Roger, helping operate their family grain farm, bringing a strong agricultural background and deep community roots to her role on the board.
Cleta and Roger are proud parents to their sons, Lucas and Casey Shake, and daughter-in-law Jessica. Both Lucas and Casey are graduates of White River Valley Schools. Elected in 2023, Cleta will serve on the board through 2026.

Miranda Hostetter
Miranda Hostetter is serving her first term as a school board trustee and is committed to putting students and community first. She graduated White River Valley as valedictorian in 2010 and earned a bachelor’s degree in Public Financial Management with a minor in Economics from Indiana University. She is employed as the Accounting Manager for our local utility, bringing real-world financial experience to board decisions. She is married to her high school sweetheart, and they have two young boys, with the oldest proudly attending Worthington Elementary. She values integrity, transparency, accountability, and fiscal responsibility, and will work to ensure our schools are strong, sustainable, and focused on student success.
